Display options are missing due to incorrect display settings.
Cause:
The configuration of hardware or software is incorrect.
Solution:
Change 'Display Type' in the 'Settings' tabbed page by opening 'Display' in 'Control Panel'.
NOTE: The solution for this problem may involve third-party hardware and/or software configurations. The following is only a possible solution.
1) Do one of the following to open the 'Display' icon:
a) Use the 'Start' menu:
1] Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2] Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)

3] Double-click the 'Display' icon.

b) Display the 'Desktop' pop-up menu:
1] Right-click on any empty area of the desktop. (A pop-up menu appears.)
2] Select 'Properties' from the pop-up menu. (The 'Display Properties' dialog box appears.)

2) Click the 'Settings' tab.
3) Click 'Change Display Type...'. (The 'Change Display Type' dialog box appears.)
4) Click 'Change...' in the 'Adapter Type' group. (The 'Select Device' dialog box appears.)
5) Do one of the following:
a) Select a compatible driver from the list:
1] Select the 'Show Compatible Devices' radio button.
2] Select a device in the 'Models' list box.
3] Click 'OK'.
b) Install a manufacturer-supplied display driver by running the driver utility:
1] Click 'Have Disk...'. (The 'Install From Disk' dialog box appears.)
2] Do one of the following:
a] Select the letter of the disk drive containing the manufacturer's driver from the 'Copy manufacturer's files from' drop-down list box.
b] Click 'Browse...'. (The 'Open' dialog box appears.)
1} Select the drive containing the driver from the 'Drives' drop-down list box.
2} If necessary, double-click the folder(s) containing the driver in the 'Folder' list box.
3} Select the driver in the 'File name' list box.
4} Click 'OK'.
3] Click 'OK'.
c) Install a Windows 3.1 display driver:
NOTE: This is not recommended because many display features of Windows 95 are not supported by Windows 3.1 drivers.
1] Click 'Have Disk...'. (The 'Install From Disk' dialog box appears.)
2] Select the letter of the disk drive containing the Windows 3.1 setup disks from the 'Copy manufacturer's files from' drop-down list box.
3] Click 'Browse...' to locate the driver on the disk. (The 'Open' dialog box appears.)
a] Select the drive containing the driver from the 'Drives' drop-down list box.
b] If necessary, double-click the folder(s) containing the driver in the 'Folder' list box.
c] Select the driver in the 'File name' list box.
d] Click 'OK'
4] Click 'OK'.
6) Click 'Close' and click 'Apply'. (A 'Systems Setting Change' dialog box appears, prompting whether to restart the computer. The computer must be restarted for the settings to take effect.)
7) Click 'Yes' to enable settings immediately or 'No' to enable changes the next time the computer is started.
